Completion of a Landmark Laguna Beach Home Remodel

After more than two years of planning and coordination, Welch and Wandsworth, we are thrilled to announce the completion of a landmark full home remodel in Laguna Beach.

Welch and Wandsworth General Contractors transformed a century-old Laguna Beach home into a modern marvel, blending cutting-edge architecture and engineering. What began as a kitchen remodel evolved into a full home renovation, requiring extensive engineering work, including new retaining walls, staircases, and a groundbreaking Mod Pool (20' container pool), a first in Laguna Beach, installed by Mason Pool Co.

Nestled just two blocks from PCH with panoramic ocean views, the home boasts two levels of floor-to-ceiling bi-fold windows and doors. Other exterior interior features include: New framing, new HVAC system, new stucco, exterior lighting throughout the grounds, custom handrails on new concrete staircase, custom iron railings and artist designed front gate, new built in BBQ and exterior shower, new roof with solar panels, new flooring, all new doors and windows & skylights, custom cabinets and closets.

The front and rear grounds were completely reimagined, featuring lush landscaping by Rooted Landscape Design Studio. Interior design, focused on kitchens and bathrooms, was expertly curated by The Kitchen Lady of San Clemente.

Project Management was handled by KFA Consulting, with engineering support from Rigsbee Engineering (Tustin) for the homes structural design and Cal Pro Design & Engineering (Laguna Beach) for the exterior frontage and concrete stairs structural design.
