Privacy Policy

Welch and Wandsworth LLC operates welchandwandsworth.com. This policy explains what the site collects, why we collect it, and what happens to it afterward. It is written in plain language on purpose.

The short version

This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and carries no advertising trackers. The only personal information we receive is what you choose to type into the inquiry form and send to us. We use it to answer you. We do not sell it, and we do not pass it to anyone beyond the services needed to deliver your message and reply to it.

Information you give us

The inquiry form asks for the following.

• Your name. Required.
• Your email address. Required.
• What your inquiry is about, chosen from a short list. Required.
• Your phone number. Optional.
• How you heard about us. Optional.
• Anything you would like us to know before we speak. Optional.

You decide what to send. There is no account to create on this site, no login, no password, and no stored profile. If you write or call one of the email addresses or phone numbers published here instead of using the form, we receive whatever you choose to put in that message.

Information collected automatically

The site is hosted by Netlify. As with nearly every web host, Netlify's servers keep standard access logs. Those logs can include your IP address, the browser and device you are using, the pages you requested, and the date and time of the request. They are produced by the hosting infrastructure rather than by anything we added to the site, and we use them only to understand whether the site is working.

What this site does not do

Worth stating plainly, because it is unusual.

• No cookies are set by this site.
• No analytics. There is no Google Analytics, no tag manager, and nothing equivalent.
• No advertising or social media tracking pixels.
• No fonts, scripts, or other files loaded from third party services.
• No selling, renting, or trading of personal information.
• No marketing list. Sending an inquiry does not sign you up for anything.

How we use what you send

To reply to you. To answer your questions, prepare a proposal, or arrange a site visit if you ask for one. To keep an ordinary business record of the conversation. That is the whole list.

Who else can see it

Two kinds of service provider, both ordinary.

• Netlify, which hosts the site and receives form submissions on our behalf. Submissions are stored in our Netlify account and forwarded to us by email.
• The email providers that carry those notifications to the Welch & Wandsworth addresses.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Welch & Wandsworth or of others.

How long we keep it

We keep inquiries for as long as they are useful for the purpose you sent them, and afterward as part of our ordinary business records. If you would like your inquiry deleted, write to info@welchandwandsworth.com and we will delete it.

How it is protected

The site is served over HTTPS, so what you type into the form is encrypted while it travels. Submissions are held in an access-controlled account. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot promise absolute security.

Links to other sites

This site links out to Instagram, to Houzz, and to the California Contractors State License Board license lookup. Once you follow one of those links you are on someone else's site, covered by their privacy policy rather than by this one.

Your choices and your rights

You can use this entire site without giving us anything. The inquiry form is the only place that asks.

If you are a California resident, you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to receive a copy of it, to ask us to correct it, and to ask us to delete it. You have the right not to be treated differently for asking. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are used in California privacy law, so there is nothing to opt out of.

To make a request, write to info@welchandwandsworth.com or call one of the numbers below. We may need to confirm who you are before we act, so that we do not hand your information to somebody else.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, write to us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
